"Medic" (New class!?) Elaboration... Please Read!!!

I read "Haggs" post for medic, here is a little food for thought.

Medic = (ONLY heal NO attack...ultimate proof of unselfishness )

Heal (standard atk) - can only heal not atk.
(of course it should be similar to regenerate.)

Impair [level 1]- cuts off enemies sight. (something similiar to seing only in front of you)

Masochist [lvl 4] (lol again, needs better word description.) - absorbs damage for limited time.

Dispel or alleviate or Debuff [lvl 8] (unclear, needs better word description) - clears of invisible, shield, and enrage. (needs more thought as to how many or which buffs can it eliminate.)

Benediction [lvl 20] - sacrifice own hp to 1 to fully heal 1 member.

Seeing as how medic would be very strong in healing and debuffing, I would think it should be light class. (I suppose it would be on the level of the queen in chess. You don't need it, but its very beneficial.)

let me get this straight ima pair up with mama, we need a masochist to absorb the damage i do and we have to make sure no dispel comes by to dispel my shield.. or did i miss the point there?

But I like the class idea... very well thought out nexes! =)

Another thought I have been having....
Maybe this would be the perfect class to be able to actually pick up and hold our own flag.... even for just a few seconds like about as long as a shield lasts.

I have been thinking about it for a while and it there could be some strategy to this... like when the stealer dies and some of us don't return the flag right away to confuse the other team... or cuz we know there are enemies at base that will grab it before there is someone to stop them....

I like it. but lvl'ing up will take forever without attack. n they can only play ctf to lvl up. still a nice concept tho.

I posted a similar thought in extra classes, but here it is again cuz I likes the sound of my own voice! Lol

I was thinking rather than extra classes, these sorts of things could be specialties for chars past level 50. To further complicate things, these specialties wouldn't work on regular maps but on a clan war map only. This would help with balancing, and other than a full game a lot of these extra classes wouldn't be as useful.

A valid point. But I think they would get exp for doing their intended function don't ya think?

So like dm takes forever to level for every1 to level there... we only get exp for our kills.

This class would get exp for its heals... don't ya think?

Idk... seems like we are all exploring this idea...

thats actually pretty good. it can also help the scout classes when they are running to make their life last way longer. i suggest making the cooldowns very long because it would make this class too strong when paired with a good runner/ rampaging brute.

xneXesx you asked me for my input, dont be mad but having a medic when people like mapps, mama, yourself etc have the flag and to recharge a person to life, is like asking for a never ending game. xneXesx you know my respect for you, can you imaging some of the people that can walk the field now without being killed, now you making a lvl 50 a lvl 70 with a medic. Unless we give all 3 classes more fire power, that would warrent a medic, or a bigger map. I think he would only prolong some already long games. From flag to flag a good single scout can't kill a good marine, (as reference Starr and my self chased camshaft from one side to the other and only just as he entered his base did he die) so a medic would only make a marine almost immortal. Sorry you had a good idea and I commend you for that, but this is my view.
