100% no effect on lag. To be honest, outside of being required to create an account the first time you go to play (or login when you switch devices), 99.9% of users will not see any difference.

All of the changes you will see are limited to the very first screen you see when you open INF (The one that says "Connecting..."). As soon as you can see your character list you're past all of the new changes.

do u understand how many new players are turned away by the games lag? inf is easily the most addictive game on the android market and alot of its fan base is being turned off by the in game lag, i have a evo 4g and lag worse than a 1yr 1/2 ago on my sh*t samsung moment lol. its an issue if u guys can make this update can u plz address the lag?

We don't have stats on those exact numbers, but we do have an upper bound, and that upper bound probably isn't nearly as high of a number as you guys would think it is.

Further on the question of lag however, every time this comes up we have to go through the same set of questions. Are you talking about graphical lag, or network lag?

Try playing on wi-fi, and upgrading phones.
I just got the MyTouch 4G Slide, and I hardly ever lag.

This (hopefully).
Certain things there is absolutely nothing we can do about: clicking an item/ability _just_ before you die, and dying before it kicks in, etc. This is due to the delay in how long it takes your phone to send a message to the server saying "I used an item/ability". Slower networks suffer longer delays in this area, and short of upgrading your network, nothing can be done. Use wifi to limit this.

Certain things we can do something about: slow framerates. This is an issue with trying to support both new devices, and old devices. We have to make choices on how strong to run the graphics. Either it looks terrible on new devices (because everything is dumbed down), or it looks slow on old devices because they can't keep up. We've tried to make the game a nice medium between the two, but its a difficult line to walk.

i could say either or but ultimately its gonna come back to my service not being up to par etc. i should know that its not gonna change :lol:

I'd highly advise dropping the size of the in game text a few pixels. It's pretty obnoxious as it stands.
