A Dedication to the History of ProjectINF

Postby BlackHeart » Thu Jan 07, 2010 4:43 pm

From day one, there was players chosen, chosen to take part of a game that was young and in the works. It started when characters as we know them now didn't have the same names! Each one of these players input their ideas, and time. Playing when they could and never quitting despite of the problems the game had.

The developers did everything they could, devoting their time and money into building INF into the game it is today, pushing updates and most importantly listening to what we have to say. Allow me to be the first to say thank you, thank you for listen to us, because that showed us you cared, and showed you're dedication, and that fired up ours.

This game showed us people can truly connect through a video game. The intimacy within the game have made best friendships and even love. Through-out time, people came and left, became happy and mad, every story a player has, is a grand one let's have their story be known.

Diesel is a closed beta player, he has been playing and helping new players even though he didn't let his suggestions be known to the public often, he increased the game by co-founding UAC and leading it into what it is. Even though some don't like his clan, the bottom line is, his team increased the team work and fun this game has now! He is a great person and a great player. Thank you diesel

Phantasm, she's a closed beta player that worked her way from a normal player to a mod, working with chickenbrick closely. From day one she's had her arguements with players but always remained unbias, and honest. Thank you phantasm.

XneXesX, has studied the game to the fullest extent. He learned how to master every class and has been teaching people that don't know how to play, and showing people the enjoyment in the game. That demonstrates dedication to me. Thank you Nex

Haggs, I won't tell much information on Haggs however I will tell people what they obviously know! He is a great guy, he's nice and has the patiences of a saint. He cares about this game so much, he is willing to talk to every player of this game, learning there ideas dispite of how many repeats he has to hear! Thank you haggs

Impact, come on everyone has to give him credit, he's the programmer. I'm sure he spent countless of sleepless nights improving the game, and did a great job! Thank you!

Ellen, I know absolutely nothing about you apart from you do the designs and the art! Nonetheless, Thank you Ellen

Starr, also a closed beta player that always put his and our ideas in the spot light he was our unsaid spokesman. He made our suggestions known despite if people thought he was forceful or not. It was helpful. Thank you!

Superman, has always posted and played every single day since day one, he has been a suggesting and participating into the development of the growth of the game and the forums. Thank you superman

Hotmama, dispite of peoples personal feeling of her, for not being a closed beta player, she made her name know. She has been a active participant in INF and has tried to spread the word of the updates and the news to the players that weren't in the forums. Thank you mama

Lightfoot, has put his ideas and suggestions up there and they were honored, which should always be rememberd! Thank you lightfoot

KB, has always done what was best for the game and always informed us of what was going on. Again, very helpful. Thank you KB

... Of course with any great empire or game in this case there are players and people that cause arguements and " drama "; however, that shows a person's character and gives competition to the game and that's what is needed to make a great game!

I didn't meantion a lot of people and that's not in any disrepect. Every player doesn't matter if they are closed beta or playing for their second day they are a important part of INF and they belong to a amazing community. Thank you all!

Haggs and Impact and Ellen created a wonderful thing, we should show our appreciation and care and love for the game!

I didn't say anything about myself, I don't want to blow my own horn. If you feel that my story should be known. Feel free to say it.

AWSOME! Thank you, BlackHeart. :-) I think each person named should also put their thoughts in here about the others named as well as the one who made this topic.

Its amazing how much its all changed

I remember when I knew every player in the game now so many ppl have joined us I have a hard time trying to keep up with names

I like to live in the moment but its nice to remember the past sometimes. I've had a lot of fun making friends here and plan to continue making new 1s

I love how INF has evolved as a game. Even in the begining when it was the most basic style dm, u only had 2 abelties, and the store only had meds and stems it was still the best thing on the market. Now there are more developers and games then ever and INF is still the best

Definitely Superman!

Thank you Blackheart. Blackheart himself is a closed beta player who has made many suggestions that have influenced the developers changes to the game.

I recall when startup was a black screen with one option. We had nothing but a very close up star that floated around. The health bar was on your character and there was no trackball movement, it was all done through the screen, by holding your finger on your character and sliding it up, down, or to the side. There were only medpacks, no medium or small ones. And they were sooo expensive!

Do you all remember the update of no refreshes? OMG!!! Scouts were blurs, marines were immortal vampires, and brutes were....well, unfortunately still just brutes lol. But wow, crazy times. Fun but chaotic.

Remember in closed beta the park map (only map) where ud go from either far right bottom ot far left bottom to the other side to hope to find 1 player to battle.. no extras just tag em and hope to survive.

I remember playing for hours getting a few levels up and forgetting to hit home and loose the levels.

I'd look forward to the email from chickenbrick every night around midnight for the update.

Thanks Chickenbrick..

We couldn't have made the game into what it is today without the closed beta ;)!
