I just thought I'd share a little insight into the game messages and why they're delayed a bit. Since it takes a little bit of time for our server to authenticate event actions (someone gets a kill, captures a flag, etc.) and then everyone's game to update after an event, we decided to delay the messages. This way, when you do get a message, you know that the event most certainly happened.
I'll admit that we could probably tweak them to come up a slight bit sooner, but when it came time to figure out where we wanted to focus our energy, we got to a certain point and called it good. That said, we think things should be pretty synchronized, but if something seems way out of whack, shoot me a pm and we'll add it to our list of things to look at.
