I try and play the game when I'm on wifi and I just get the connecting screen so I disconnect from wifi, play on 3g, quit, reconnect the wifi and then play...it's a pain because if I accidentally quit, I can't rejoin quickly and it's all laggy if I do because I'm on 3g.

No worries mate it just as laggy if you use wifi, at home thats all I use is wifi with 3 solid green bars the whole time and guess what LAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Hi!

I wanna play really bad, but my router makes me sad

I have a 3com 3CRWER100-75 @ home, overall it works OK, Cestos works fine, etc
But when i launch ProjectINF, it just stays at the welcome screen picture, pops the message about visiting the forums, and stays there.

If i switch to EDGE/3G, i can connect and get to the character selection fine.

I can connect also at work, through an Asus WL500-G, but the internet there is terribly laggy, and sometimes i even have to do some work instead of playing.

Can someone help me? Maybe there is a way to send some connection logs or info?

Forgot to mention, the handset is an HTC Hero

Please try to reset you wifi router and try again. The wifi connection is the bridge between your phone and INF so the connection between the router must be bad, you mayhave to go into your routher settings and give you phone permissions, (normally not but I have seen strange)

I tried to reboot the router, change the encryption settings and even remove encryption from wifi to no avail.
There are cerain problems with it, for example sometimes apps start downloading from the market only after toggling the wifi on the phone, but most apps connect online fine. No outgoing ports are blocked in the router afaik.

I'm having the same issue on my Droid. I was over in Oahu Hawaii on Wifi for xmas and was able to play with no issues. But I just got back home to the Big Island and I can connect to the wifi on my droid but I can't seem to play the game. It's the only thing I can't do I can use every other app I have installed just not able to play the game. I verified my firewall isn't blocking anything per the logs. It's a business class firewall so it's not some home user solution. Any ideas what else might be causing this issue?

We've got an upgraded version that will be coming out in the next couple days (hopefully monday/tuesday), not positive which, we're still testing for stability...

Hopefully it fixes the problem. We haven't changed any of our connection handling recently, so its odd to see so many people having the same problems over the last couple days... However, if it continues with the new patch, I'll package up some debug versions of the game which should hopefully allow us to see exactly whats happening with the log files, and try to trace down the problem...

So, for now, hold tight (sorry)
