HOW IT WORKS
I'll be using Brackets.com to post the ELITE TOURNAMENT. I've already set it up for 32 players in single elimination. Single elimination does not mean losing ONE game in our case. As outlined above, it's the best of three games. Single elimination means you don't play multiple players (or teams) and get a chance to lose to two separate entities like in a softball or baseball tournament (known as double elimination).
In other words, the winner of the each best of three match moves on and the loser is out of the tournament.
GAME RULES
This tournament is for Black Hole. Best of three games.
Players may not agree to longer matches (ex. best of 5 or best of 7).
Disconnects may result in both players being disqualified from match. However if one person is consistently found to be getting disconnects with opponents, that player is subject to removal from the tournament.
In the case of a disconnect, both players replay the game. And must post in results of who was disconnected in game. In addition the score of the game at time of disconnect must be published. Example disconnected player was leading 2-1 or tied 1-1.
Players should respect other players in little to no texting in games. i.e. if opponent does not respond to your texts about the weather, they are not obligated by courtesy to answer you.
Trouble makers will be booted from the tournament. It's a game, yes we play to win but have fun. Making someone else's life miserable is not what anyone has signed up for.

Run your own tournament and you can make your own rules. This one has been put together in the spirit of a challenge to the best players. The word Elite is often thrown around without much thought.
