The Marauder - Need a light?
Marauders are "armoured assault troopers". This unit is often used to provide support to both attacking and defensive strategies. The Marauder can ambush a stacked up team of flag defenders quickly freeing up your flag with the devastating duel arm-mounted flame throwers. This unit would be a perfect addition to a defending team who are keen to hold on to the top prize until their flag is returned! They are typically armed with dual arm-mounted flame throwers and wear armour similar to those used by marines making them a force to be reckoned with, except heavier and slower than the traditional marine due to the extra gear.
As a Death Match unit it just opens up a new level of combat. You either get out of its way or you want to be on the same team. This unit would encourage more tactile games. You couldn’t just run in to a team of marauders and begin to run through as we currently do. You would need to use your abilities to survive and kill off the new and exciting unit.
Natural Abilities
Torch - Expands range of attack by 20%
Side Step - A 3 point blink to compensate for the lack of speed when trying to get to or away from action. You could blink 3 times but only in a small area such as an area slightly larger of the one you would get with a gas frag of the scout.
After burn - When used, anyone who falls in your line of "Fire" will continue to lose health for 5 seconds (similar to the type of damage you get in a Gas frag)
Detonate - When "detonated" your unit will self destruct and cause "splash" damage such as the likes of a gas frag of a scout. The area of detonation will continue to burn for 5 seconds (same area as a gas frag)
