I know many dont want to help a foe, but being on very civil terms with about 95% of INF, My Mytocch 4g finally sh*t, Im used to a trackpad , today got a galaxy s II fml but I cant seem to activate items for withinn the "items menu" if anyony knows how , please share, this is or INF is a thing from the past, Im sad to have to go but not going to be a sitting duck, not being abel to return, protect holders, or myself. Without a return button,tackpad, or trackball I'm more or less usless. FYI wild heart whom I'v been head to head with and lantrine who I was looking to surpass in the future is no longer possible best of luck to both. Eventually I hope developers will find a work around for such a awsome phone that lacks certain functions. I'm sure future phones will also lack a return button as well as track pad/ball. I saw today so many phones missing theses things and wonder is this why INF does not have huge following, If new players are using new phones not being abel to compoete with trackpad speed then IO would uninstall too like im probable going to do sadly, thanks to all for your deaths.

You might be able to do something with. Button savior app. It put the buttons on the touchscreen. I used on my old phone when the buttons stopped workin.

Can you use the "quick use bar?" Log on and at the main menu after selecting a character, press menu and check the box "quick-use bar."

^^^ wat erock said... And don't worry about competing with trackball or trackpad speed , I have a HTC thunderbolt and its full touch . With practice the "Bubbles" won't seem like a big deal

Rob are u saying u can't access the item menu? Can't get out of the item menu? Or that you can activate items while the menu is up?

Your phones menu button will bring item screen up and will exit item screen.

The arrow key will also or back button will take you out of item menu.

Without a trackball or dpad u can't activate items while the item menu is open.

If the last is you're problem as other suggested use the actionbar bubbles but I reccomend only one at a time.

Yup. And it was awesome. Every so often I am tempted to go back to my MyTouch3G, just for the trackball.

I tried going back to the mytouch3g but it just isn't the same lagwise(VERY LAGGY). Magik, that's the main reason why people like me & the BLOODHOUND don't play. Because we are a shade of what we used to be without it and its frustrating. On the other end it may seem normal to players who have never experienced a trackball. We might have appeared to just have lost a small slide in our game. But to us, its a huge difference. Its a difference of juking up to 3 items per second to barely being able to get 2 trying your very hardest. Its easy letting go of something you've never had an experience with but to us who relied so heavily on it. It makes or brakes us. I tried for 3 months without it, and I gave up because its just not the same. I also tried using the quick bar but it lags A LOT, and it freezes up when you overuse it. And as a holder, you NEED the corner and it takes up that space. One thing that would bring me back 100% hands down if they changed the menu layout to support full item use. Even if it means making the game map/screen a little visible, if you could use all your abilities with freedom, it would improve EVERYONE's game 10fold.

No I can use menu items but.... with a trackpad I could be in items menu swap items and activate them with out leaving items menu.....Now it seems I have to use items during regular game play hit the bubble them go to menu swap item, then go back to the game to use it. Again I never had to actually go back to the game screen with the my touch I would swap a item, swipe my trackpad, then switch to next item, and swipe trackpad, I could use sixteen items with out actually being in the game screen...everythin was done from the items screen. Hope people follow me otherwise I'll have to make a you tube video. Ill have to play a bit to see if I could get used to it, but now understand why bloodhound quit but ffs he had a trackpad he couldnt get used to. Thanks again for the help and hope I clarified this a bit better.

@ whojspeed I really never needed that quick switching for my scout it's mainly for brutes who have pissing matches, and marine holders, remember if your in the items screen you can't control your toon, so a brute setup im pointing and shooting with no place to go,
