"Enjoy what you have now, because it's only going to get a lot worse before it gets better..."
~ Overheard in the Lobby concerning the nuclear winter that showed up early in the summer.
Doctors and nurses stood patiently and prayed over rows and rows of motionless bodies. The Defensive Gem of Gulf Coast, Texas looked like a natural disaster scene, and the world's military organization, Project I.N.F. was responsible for running every facet of governance to ensure the world would be safe from alien invasions. Innocent people turned into each other due to confused intelligence and paranoid leaders with a little love from oxytocin. The project was their gift to humanity, in return they had their humility. Humanity is now hanging on a thin strand of rope, and it is up to the doctors and ordinary folks to save humans from turning into androids. To increase focus on their inner strengths: vitality, resilience, clarity, purity among many driving us to bring outer strengths: Stern while turning a deaf ear, perceiving the destruction with calm, beautiful eyes, tactical sermons being given inside an ambulance truck give us shimmering hope of escape. Nevertheless, a coalition of humanitarian groups started to come together to build new streets, parks and hospitals. This plan was a natural consequence for children of light, as bringing order would restore what was lost in the aftermath.
On an island off the coast of Alaska, a swarm of ninjas with night-vision goggles rushed into a weapon armory, taking every single strand of hair that was there with them in minutes. Surveillance cameras were flashed 20 times each second over this duration. The Xenologist used his reclamation skills to determine how many such scouts were in there, by using a stroboscope to underexpose the films back to what it would look like without flashes. The trick worked, revealing eleven speedsters and one slow, large creature carrying every piece of armory. They had no identities. All black, wiry like spiders on stimulants, and blue lights came out of the large creature -- nobody have seen them on film before. What was strange to him is that the creatures howled the whole time. This is just one example that occurred at military bases around the world, yet this is the most elusive group ever seen.
A week later, torn limbs and torsos of numerous giant timber wolves were found within the Arctic Circle, body parts scattered with blood splashes mainly in the north west direction in Canadian Tundra. At the site, remains of the red snow appeared to have been eaten by something unruly and the wolves did not show signs of struggle, nor did they find time to retreat even if they were 3 miles away from it. It was no bomb, it was a thing straight out of another world.... Minutes after the discovery, an elite team of paratroops dropped 20 miles southeast and set up a mobile fortification. After further analysis, the foreign tracks and frozen red snow have been found to be dated back several months, after a long, dense blizzard that obscured the mechanical red eyes of the sky. "It's too late... Oh no, oh no...." Mixed with nuclear dust storms, satellites were of little use in most areas of the world. They saw that whatever it was, it was long gone, and it has already trekked across the Arctic Circle. The connection between recent discovery and the Alaska incident has been made.
That sunless day in November, Giant-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named boldly sent in the famous words, "Deploy the first round of Droids!" Meteor showers ensued.
