Upgrades/Points System

Postby Kurik » Tue Feb 02, 2010 12:20 am

Dunno if this is already posted, dont feel like reading through but here is my 2 cents. Im thinking about being able to upgrade your 4 natural abilities. For example we would need a point system to be able to get upgrades, kinda like stats. There may be 5 levels per. Scout for example, Smoke - Inc Damage or Duration. Flash - Inc Speed of flash or duration. Sprint - Inc Speed or Duration. Invis - Inc Speed while Invis or Duration. Just along those lines for all classes. Probably end up using a system of percentages and such also. Just a passing thought, if you guys can improve upon it, go ahead have at it.

While I would appreciate being able to upgrade my abilities, there's some players who are damn near unkillable. That would make this worse. Games would go on for weeks.

I like this idea a lot. It would add more character to each player. At the moment the only real distinction from your scout or another scout is simply the stats that you picked and the medals that you wear. In addition to this in the distant future they could even implement additional skill trees for each class.
For instance, you could choose a brute path X,Y, or Z. Each path would have a SPECIFIC role that it's skill tree addresses. This way you could have a X-Brute archetype that is completely unique in his skills/stats/items. Think about the replay value !
